Harvey is pleased to announce that, as well as his regular gigs, he will be playing in the Auld Hundred pub in Rose Street at 3.30pm every Tuesday throughout the festival.

I haven't posted any comments on this site for some time but I'm still playing regular gigs. I usually play with the Old Boy Network on a Wednesday afternoon in Footlights Bar. In addition I can generally be found in both the Auld Hundred and the Black Rose Tavern on Sunday evenings.

Harvey hasn't posted any gig information on his website for some time but is pleased to say that he continues to play on the local music scene, Wednesday afternoons in the Mercat Bar and Sunday evenings in the Auld Hundred amongst others.

Harvey has given notice to Bert's Bar that come the end of May he'll be taking a break from hosting the Thursday night quizzes. He's taking the summer off but hopes to be back in the autumn. He would like to thank all the regular teams for coming along on a Thursday night and hopes that he's provided you with some fun and entertainment as well as a bit of good-natured banter!

On the evening of Friday 3rd April  Harvey and Jack Anderson, along with their friend and exceptional bassist Jamie Hogg, played at McSorley's Bar in Edinburgh, a venue that was new to Harvey and Jack The bar was very busy as you would expect for a Friday night and their music appeared to be appreciated by the punters. They enjoyed playing and hope to be back there sometime in the near future. 

Harvey is pleased to announce that he's been invited to return to Bert's Bar (in Edinburgh's West End) to host the Thursday night quizzes starting on 20th February. He hopes that all the regular quiz teams will be back and looks forward to seeing you all again.

Due to the attitude of a new manager brought in to Bert's Bar Harvey terminated the quiz nights at the pub on 21st November. Harvey would like to thank all the regular Thursday night teams and also the girls of the bar staff for their support relating to this matter. He will post a notice both on this site and on Facebook if he takes on the role of Quiz Master at another venue.

Harvey is now hosting the quiz nights in Bert's Bar, William Street, Edinburgh on Thursdays at 9.00pm. If you fancy a couple of drinks and a bit of banter he'll be very pleased to see you. That means he will now be performing at the music nights in the Grassmarket Bar on Tuesday evenings.

The year 2013 is almost upon us. Harvey hopes that everyone to whom he's played music or hosted a quiz for in 2012 has a happy and prosperous new year.
Harvey's first quiz of the new year will take place at the Grange Club, Edinburgh on Friday 4th January and he hopes to continue playing music at the Jinglin' Geordie on Thursday nights throughout the year.

Harvey hosted a quiz night at the Grange Club on the evening of 5th October. Ten teams took part and the event was dedicated to the memory of the late Grange Club steward Margaret McCullim.
